Koh Lipe Thai Kitchen, situated on Baldwin Street in Toronto, is quickly gaining acclaim as a must-visit for Thai cuisine enthusiasts. Customers rave about the restaurant's vibrant flavors and authentic Southern Thai dishes, each thoughtfully crafted. Dishes like the Choo Chee Pla Too, featuring fried mackerel in coconut curry, and the bold Gaeng Ka Ti Sa Tor Nua, a spicy coconut green curry with beef, stand out for their robust flavors and freshness. Patrons like Cathy and Hari Nagarajan appreciate the culinary creativity, especially with offerings such as the zesty Pineapple Salad and rich Massaman Curry, which strike the perfect balance of spice and flavor. For those who dare to embrace spice, Koh Lipe delivers a delightful punch that many find exhilarating. The Mango Sticky Rice has become a crowd favorite, beautifully presented, and is regarded as a dessert not to miss. While the service is noted for being friendly and fast, minor suggestions for improvement include facilitating bill splitting for larger groups. However, the overall dining experience leaves patrons eager to return—often with friends or family in tow for another exploration of the menu. If you seek authentic Thai dishes with complex flavors, Koh Lipe Thai Kitchen is undoubtedly a culinary gem worth visiting.

Had lunch at this amazing spot with some friends, and wow every single dish was packed with flavour! From the first bite to the last, it was absolutely delicious. You could really taste the freshness and care in everything they served. We kept passing plates around so we could try a bit of everything, and there wasn’t a single miss. I’m already planning my next visit, this time with my husband, because it was that good. The only thing I wish they’d improve is the ability to split the bill. It’s such a small thing, but it would make group dining a whole lot smoother. Still, totally worth it for the food alone. Highly recommend!

I’ve tried mango and papaya salads before, but it was my first time trying a pineapple salad and it was so refreshing and zesty! The Blue Noodle curry was spicier than I expected, but incredibly delicious. I also loved the crispy fried leaves such a nice touch. The pad thai was, of course, amazing. Perfectly balanced with just the right amount of sweetness and saltiness. It was also my first time trying mango sticky rice. The mango shaped chocolate on top looked beautiful, and the combination of the mango, sticky rice, and condensed milk was absolutely perfect.

The BEST Thai food in Toronto. One of a kind southern Thai institution that ironically also serves the best pad Thai in the city too. Extremely pungent flavors and quite spicy, not for the faint of heart. Live once in your life and suck it up if you hate spicy food - just come here. EDIT: I've been coming here over the past 5 years. Also, they also serve the greatest dessert I've ever had (Alder's coconut pie is second) - you should probably order 2 of the mango sticky rice at least

Came here on the recommendation of a friend and Holy Basil was this place amazing. The service was very fast, attentive and friendly. The place is well decorated and beautiful. Finally the star of the show, the food, was well presented, so very tasty and flavorful. I had the blue crab curry and if I had one gripe about it, it would be that it needs more crab in the curry especially for the price. My only caution would be to really check yourself on spice tolerance. Some of the dishes definitely have a good zing. But if things get too hot, get yourself some Thai ice cream afterward to cool off.

Had a great meal here and would definitely come back. The Massaman curry was rich, flavorful, and beautifully balanced with just the right amount of spice. The only miss for me was the stinkbean; the flavor didn’t quite work, so I ended up picking them out. But aside from that, everything else was spot on. The mango salad was bright, fresh, and absolutely amazing. I also tried both the mango juice and the mango cocktail, and both were excellent. Came back again: The Mee Puu (blue crab curry with vermicelli) was hands-down the best crab curry I’ve ever had—rich, spicy, and so satisfying. And the mango sticky rice? Just look at the photo—absolutely divine. Creamy, chewy, and beautifully presented in a white chocolate shell shaped like a mango!

A friend recommended this Thai restaurant, and I’m so glad I tried it! We visited on a Sunday evening and were informed of a 90-minute dining limit once seated. Every dish we tried was fantastic, especially the appetizer pork belly – it was super crispy, and the seafood salad (a signature dish) was packed with an impressive amount of seafood. We were asked about the spicy level, and we chose medium, though it ended up being quite mild. We were hoping to enjoy dessert as well, but unfortunately, we ran out of time. Definitely recommend booking a table in advance!

This place is so good! Reservations are highly recommended as the queues and wait times are long. The mango salad is fresh, spicy and a standout, pad kee mao is one of the best and tasty, and the pad kra pao is full of flavour. The vermicelli with shrimp was light and yummy. Loved the rich crab curry too. Service was super fast. Food came out hot. Can’t wait to go back!

Local friend brought me to this place. My tastebuds were very pleased. The food was full of flavour and everything was plated so well. The food brought comfort on a rainy day. Prices were fair and not overpriced. Lots of variety and all our dishes came out really well. First time trying a sticky rice pineapple dish. The green thai iced tea drank so easily. The service was lovely. Definitely a must try.
